Lunch Lady Land
Although not Adam Sandler related, this is one helluva story. 15 lunch ladies and a female custodian in the small town of Holdingford, MN each put in a quarter in to buy a powerball ticket. As luck would have it, the lunch ladies are now rich ladies as each will take home about $2.1 million. The best quote of the story comes from lunch lady Phyllis Breth who when asked what she planned to do with the money offered this line: "I'd love to buy a refrigerator that makes ice cubes, but we'll see."
