A Loss For The Ages

What a wacky day in college football today and where else is there to start than those pitiful Golden Gophers. Ahead by ten points with just over two minutes remaining, the Gophers found a way to lose 38-34 to Wisconsin today. The best way to sum up the Gophers came from the mouth of a Wayzata soccer coach today. He simply said, "They are a nightmare. An absolute nightmare." Much discussion will take place this week about whether the loss is the fault of the punter who fumbled away the winning touchdown or the coaches. Personally I hope someone finds a way to blame the Vikings sex party.

In other college action, top ranked USC kept their winning streak alive - barely. In a tremendously entertaining game, the Trojans topped Notre Dame in the game's final seconds. Watching Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis go from elated to dissapointed in the matter of minutes was priceless.

In small college football today, perennial national championship contender St. John's remained undefeated with a last second victory over Concordia. The Johnnies trailed 16-14 when they connected on a 74-yard touchdown pass with 15 seconds remaining.

On a random note

My dad turned 53 the other day. Happy Birthday Dad!
